It doesn't matter what language you speak, we all understand the importance
of Preparation, no product, no matter how good it is, will perform
to it's best, if the surface is not prepared correctly!
Unfortunately
as we all know, there are to many companies out there who at best, do
not understand it, or at worst ignore it!
Here at Hometex Coatings we follow a meticulous and
professional approach to the preparation required, every property we
treat has it's own needs, that is why, after fully inspecting the exterior
walls of your Home, we report to you in full, listing the requirements
needed to specifically deal with any problems found.
Here are just some of
the problems we deal with;
Dirt / Grime / Carbon: You would never dream
of working on a dirty surface, would you? neither would we, a full power
wash of the surface is carried out.
Cracks: It is no good trying to cover
over cracks, you must chase them out, they can then be filled using the
very best materials available.
Blown Render: This is a bit like tooth
decay, if you don't remove it, it will fall out, taking whatever is on
it, off as well.
Algae / Mould: Leave this on at your peril, alga, mould,
and other growths are not only unsightly, they also retain moisture,
when a frost occurs this moisture will freeze, this is one of the main
causes of cracking and blown render.
Mastic: This is the material used
to seal around UPVC windows and doors, after a relatively short period,
it can shrink and migrate, it must be re-furbished when required.
Mortar
Joint Pointing: These mortar joints; can sometimes erode due to age and
adverse weather, when this occurs they must be scrapped out and re-filled,
before applying any kind of protective coating.
Existing Scars: You may
have replaced your windows and doors, or had cavity wall installation;
perhaps you changed some plumbing around, and now have holes to fill,
Hometex Coatings will remove these, and other ugly scars. |
